After seeing that little donation button in the top right corner of every page, you are likely wondering where donations go. In short, donations go first to hosting costs for the server and second back to the users.
Good hosting isn't free or cheap. You might see offers for hosting on servers that is dirt cheap, but they are the shared servers which store 50-100 websites on them and overload after a few users on each site. Having used one of these awful servers for who knows how long, I decided it would be better for everyone to get a much more powerful server on its own internet connection. What this means is that the site should always load quite fast and should hopefully only be limited by your end of the connection. This cost isn't overly expensive, but it is something a college student has trouble with on a very limited budget.
Although I can't guarantee that server costs will be covered every month, I can say that when they do, all excess funding will be used solely for things that benefit the users of the site. These include (but are not limited to) drawings, giveaways, raffles, improvements to the server, and other benefits of the like.
Those who donate will be awarded a special ranking and will be given access to special site features not yet accessible to the general public.
